Compact rotary joint for use in Ka-band applications

Specifically designed for use in low-profile Ka-band satellite-on-the-move terminals in either military or commercial applications, a compact dual-channel coaxial rotary joint has been introduced by Link Microtek. The AMCORJD-Ka rotary joint features a central K-type coaxial channel for transmissions in the 27.5-31.0GHz range and an outer DC-3GHz SMA coaxial channel for L-band receive signals.

Coaxial termination quick release flange is a time saver

The new AMCOL-2-7/8 coaxial termination from Link Microtek has been designed to safely absorb high-power microwave and RF signals in a wide variety of operational systems and test-and-measurement applications. The device was developed at Link’s Basingstoke facility. The new device operates over a specified frequency range of DC to 3.1GHz, with a power handling capability of up to 50W and a maximum return loss of 27dB.

Electric field strength calibration service now available

Link Microtek has today announced that they are now able to offer customers an accredited calibration service for instruments measuring electric field strength. Following the recent accreditation by DAkkS, the Narda accreditation covers frequencies ranging from 9kHz to 18GHz and electric field strengths from 2V/m to 300V/m.

Link Microtek awarded 4-year support contract by MoD

The UK MoD has awarded Link Microtek with a 4-year contract for the provision of spares, repairs and other support services from the company’s Azdec mobile infra-red communications system.
