Peer-to-peer headsets allow direct talking using IR

GTEM cell offers alternative for EMC emission testing

Link Microtek has unveiled a new GTEM (gigahertz transverse electromagnetic) cell as a cost-effective alternative to an anechoic chamber for high-frequency EMC emissions and immunity testing.  Primarily aimed at those needing to carry out precompliance testing of portable equipment, the new AM18-GTEM can handle microwave frequencies up to 18GHz, compared with a maximum of only about 500MHz for traditional TEM cells.

Two-way power divider operates from 500MHz to 6GHz

A new two-way power divider that is particularly suitable for use in military mobile jamming systems to counter the threat of IEDs is available from Link Microtek. Manufactured by Narda Microwave, the Model 2382-2 power divider operates over microwave frequencies from 500MHz to 6GHz and can handle an input power of up to 250W CW or 2kW peak.

A dual-channel rotary joint, which reduces component count and saves space and weight in antennas are used for Ka-band high-data-rate satellite-on-the-move communication systems, has been released by Link Microtek. Particularly suitable for military or commercial airborne systems such as satcomm uplinks in unmanned aerial vehicles, the AM28RJD features a high-power/low-loss WR28 waveguide transmit channel and a coaxial receive channel.

Compact microwave power module meets defence needs

Link Microtek is selling a switchable Ka/Q-band microwave power module (MPM) that provides highly compact power-amplifier functionality for defence and aerospace applications where size and weight are key considerations. Designed and manufactured by L-3 Electron Devices, the M2837 module delivers more than 100W of saturated CW power at Ka-band frequencies from 29.5 to 31.0GHz and over 80W at Q-band frequencies from 43.5 to 45.5GHz.

Coaxial termination ensures secure mechanical attachment

Digitally tunable filters boost tactical-radio performance

The new TF010x series of digitally tunable bandpass filters from Link Microtek offer military communications systems designers a low-loss frequency-hopping capability for software-defined radios. Designed and manufactured by MtronPTI, the filters are available in eight different models covering frequency ranges from 30MHz to 1GHz, each with 250 tuning steps, 8-bit parallel tuning control and a switching time of less than 25µs.

PIM analyser tracks TETRA network problems
