A dual-band 802.11ac combo solution is now in production by Cypress Semiconductor which delivers high-speed WiFi and Bluetooth connections using advanced Bluetooth and WiFi coexistence algorithms. Cypress Semiconductor has announced its highly integrated, single-chip BLE solutions for the IoT and other wireless applications now offer double the memory capacity. The PSoC 4 BLE Programmable SoC and PRoC BLE Programmable RoC solutions each now have options with 256KB of flash and 32KB of SRAM, giving designers added flexibility by enabling OTA firmware upgrades without the need for external memory. The offerings are pin-to-pin compatible with the company’s original BLE solutions, simplifying upgrades.

Cypress Semiconductor today announced that ITON Technology has selected Cypress’s 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB-NL radio-on-a-chip for its complete module for wireless mice. The module includes firmware, providing customers with a turnkey solution to create their own end-products. The low power consumption of the WirelessUSB-NL solution helps the module enable mice to operate for up to three years on two AA batteries.

Sysgration will also use Cypress’s enCoRe II microcontrollers in the presenter and complementary USB dongles.
