Anritsu names Fiberdk Aps as OTDR training partner in Nordics
An Approved Training Partner Programme (ATPP) agreement has been signed by Anritsu and Fiberdk Aps, specialists in delivering fibre optic focused training services. Under the terms of the new agreement, Fiberdk will offer Anritsu Approved Optical Training courses in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.
Anritsu names Exova as service partner in Finland
Anritsu has signed an agreement with Exova METECH to be a Certified Service Partner (ACSP) in Finland. This agreement will see Exova providing calibration and repair services for Anritsu products across the Finnish market including functional testing, calibration, maintenance and repairs of Anritsu Site Master Handheld Analysers, Master Series and Handheld Spectrum Analysers, both on-site and at their premises.
Software options cut cost of 5G NR testing
Five 5G measurement software options have been released by Anritsu for its MS2850A Signal Analyser. The five new software options are compliant with the 3GPP 5G standards (5G NR hereafter) and used for measuring the RF Tx characteristics of next-generation 5G base stations and mobile terminals.
Wireless test set gets thumbs-up for IoT chip tests
Huawei has endorsed Anritsu’s MT8870A high-speed wireless test platform for its RF calibration and validation tests. The Test Set provides support for the Hi2110 and Hi2115 NB-IoT chipsets designed for IoT use cases. Anritsu’s MT88xx series long-established connectivity and cellular test methodologies provide Huawei with improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Software packages support LTE Cat-M1, NB-IoT designs
Multiple software packages for its Radio Communications Analyser MT8821C that support emerging LTE Category M1 (LTE Cat-M1) and Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) designs have been released by Anritsu. The LTE Cat-M1 and NB-IoT support expands the test capability of the MT8821C, and provides IoT-terminal and chipset manufacturers as well as communications operators with an all-in-one solution that can speed development of IoT devices.
Signal analyser aids Samsung 5G test procedures
The MS2850A Signal Analyser from Anritsu with 5G analysis software has been chosen by Samsung to support its 5G system developments. Samsung unveiled its end-to-end 5G product portfolios including 5G home routers (CPEs), 5G Access Unit (AU) last year under development for commercial grade products.
VNF solution completes successful tests at ETSI event
Successful completion of the 2nd NFV Plugtests has been announced by Anritsu following an event organised by the European Telecommunications Standardisation Institute (ETSI) with the scope of validating and testing Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV) interoperability. The event was organised by the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability.
Software supports latest sub-6GHz 3GPP 5G NR standard
A planned expansion of the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A software to support the new 3GPP 5G Sub-6 GHz New Radio (NR) RF measurement standards has been released by Anritsu. The enhanced 5G Sub-6GHz NR Uplink Tx Measurement and Downlink Waveform File software options will support non-signaling based 5G Sub-6GHz TRx tests.
Download speeds of 2Gbps demoed using LTE modem
Anritsu says it has worked with Qualcomm Technologies, a subsidiary of Qualcomm,to successfully demonstrate peak download speeds of 2Gbps. The demonstration uses a mobile test device, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 LTE modem and a network simulator using 5x carrier aggregation (5CC) with 4x4 MIMO, and 256-QAM modulation on all 5 carriers.

Signal quality analyser earns PCI Express 3.0 test certification
The Signal Quality Analyser-R (SQA-R) MP1900A from Anritsu has been certified as a compliance test solution for PCI Express 3.0 Link Equalisation (Link EQ) tests and Receiver (Rx) Jitter Tolerance tests by the PCI-SIG consortium. With support for PCI Express 3.0, as well as expandability to PCI Express 4.0 and 5.0, the MP1900A helps control capital equipment expenses while supporting various tests.
