Anritsu, Bluetest collaborate on 5G testing
Following their successful long-term collaboration in LTE OTA measurement solutions, Anritsu and Bluetest AB are extending the relationship to 5G testing. This includes the integration of Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A and Bluetest’s OTA Reverberation Test System RTS65.

Handheld testers suited for LTE/5G Backhaul applications
The ACCESS Master MT9085 series of handheld testers from Anritsu provide accuracy and broad measurement capability during installation and maintenance of fibre optic cable in LTE and 5G backhaul, as well as Metro and Core networks. Protocol test system supports 5G New Radio
To support Protocol Conformance Testing (PCT) and Carrier Acceptance Testing (CAT) of terminals incorporating the 5G New Radio (NR) technology, Anritsu has introduced the ME7834NR test system. It will add support for 3GPP TS 38.523 test cases for all configurations of 5G NR, including both Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA) modes.
Software options smooth path to 5G rollout
Two software options for evaluating 3GPP-compliant 5G Sub-6 GHz New Radio (NR) terminals have been released by Anritsu, expanding the range of software options for the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A. The software packages support fully automatic and industry-fastest Non-Signalling 3GPP-defined 5G NR Sub-6 GHz TRx tests, helping to facilitate the smooth rollout of 5G services by improving the mass-production of terminals and chipsets.
Duo achieve eSIM OTA test solution verification
Anritsu and COMPRION have established an eSIM over-the-air (OTA) test environment using Anritsu’s Signalling Tester MD8475A and COMPRION eUICC Profile Manager. Software options cut 5G test costs
Software options have been released for Anritsu’s Signal Analyser MS269xA series that provide support for measuring the RF Tx characteristics of fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications base stations and terminals. These options support signal analyses and measurement of RF characteristics by supporting 3GPP-compliant sub-6GHz uplink and downlink signals and specifying 1 Component Carrier (1CC) up to a bandwidth of 100MHz.

Test platform supports 5G chipset development
The MT8000A Radio Communication Test Station from Anritsu will be used by MediaTek as a prioritised test platform for the verification of standard-based 5G NR chipset targeting upcoming global 5G deployment. Distribution channel for test and measurement solutions grows
It has been announced by Anritsu, provider of innovative test and measurement solutions, that they have signed a distribution agreement with AR Benelux, who provide solutions for EMC, Satcom, RF/µwave for the telecoms and defence industries. Under the terms of the new agreement, Anritsu’s test equipment will now also be available in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands through AR Benelux.

A 2x2 MIMO Measurement Software MX886200A-010 option for its Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A has been released by Anritsu. This extends the measurement functions of the MT8862A to offer support for evaluating 2x2 MIMO WLAN equipment. Most devices requiring high data transmission rates, such as smartphones, tablets, PCs, etc., are now using MIMO technology to increase the data transmission speed.
Enhanced handheld tester supports 5G network installation
A firmware release for Anritsu’s Network Master Pro MT1000A handheld tester enables it to support 100Gbps with eCPRI/RoE and high-accuracy delay measurement functions. The upgraded MT1000A with strengthened functions for 5G mobile networks will support the measurement needs of mobile operators and network installation companies, and help with the early and easy deployment of high-speed networks.
