Keysight Technologies has been selected as the sole supplier of 5G network emulation solutions by Xiaomi, a leading Chinese electronics company, to accelerate development of its 5G NR mobile devices. 5G devices operating on mmWave frequencies rely on phased array antenna and beamforming technologies to address higher data throughput requirements.
Keysight's 5G RF DVT Toolset supports the latest 3GPP 5G New Radio (NR) Release 15 specifications, including beamforming and beam management across sub-6GHz and mmWave frequencies.
This comprehensive set of capabilities allows Xiaomi to validate the performance of 5G mobile devices, with easy-to-use tools for test case creation, execution and analysis in a controlled laboratory-based environment.

These solutions enable users to perform device characterisation and validation in over-the-air (OTA) real-world conditions.
By using the same test capabilities and test cases specified by chipset vendors and mobile operators, device manufacturers can easily validate device performance, speed development and achieve consistent results.
