Compact, low-power OCXO suits aero/mil applications
IQD's latest Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO), the IQOV-71 series, is housed in 4-pad plastic package with a fibre glass base measuring only 9.7x7.5mm. Despite its size, the model offers very low frequency stabilities down to ±10ppb over an operating temperature range of -20 to +70°C or ±20ppb over -40 to +85°C making it a class leader for this type of high performance device.
Transceiver module targets telemetry applications
The Circuit Design STD-601 400MHz transceiver module for telemetry, remote control and industrial applications is now available at LPRS. The advanced design has many innovative features including four frequency ranges conforming to various ISM bands available in the single device without sacrificing the superior performance of Circuit Design’s conventional RF modules.
PA module delivers 10W microwave power at up to 18GHz
A solid-state power-amplifier (PA) module that has been designed to provide a microwave power output of 10W CW over the frequency range 6 to 18GHz, making it particularly suitable for use in EMC test rigs and broadband military jamming systems is available from Link Microtek. Utilising GaAs FET technology, the MTronPTI PA1068 module is a compact, high-performance Class A amplifier with a minimum small-signal gain of 40dB and a gain flatness of be...
Bi-directional RF amplifiers operate in L- & S-bands
Designed for sending and receiving radio signals, Pasternack has introduced a line of bi-directional amplifiers. They are designed for use in applications such as UAVs, unmanned ground vehicles, L and S band radar, military radio, commercial air traffic control, weather and earth observation, satellites and high gain driver power amplifiers.
Integrated modem maximises range for wireless designers
The RN2483 433/868MHz LoRa integrated module from Microchip is now available from distributor Mouser Electronics. The module is an integrated modem with a range of over 15km (suburban) and exceptionally low power consumption, giving a battery life in excess of ten years. The LoRa-integrated module enables wireless designers to maximise range and reduce power consumption without compromising either.
LVPECL clock oscillator offers -162dBc/Hz noise floor
Compact and powerful, the CCPD-575 ultra-low phase noise LVPECL oscillator, introduced by Crystek, provides a -162dBc/Hz noise floor. The CCPD-575 is claimed to have an industry leading phase noise for an LVPECL oscillator – at least 15dB lower phase noise than most LVPECL oscillators on the market today. Close-in phase noise is also excellent at -90dBc/Hz for the 100MHz variant.
Power amplifier meets cellular backhaul applications in 18GHz band
A new 2W power amplifier from M/A-COM Technology Solutions is now available from Richardson RFPD with full design support capabilities. The MAAP-011145 is assembled in a 7 mm surface mount, lead-free cavity package with a temperature compensated integrated power detector operating from 17.65 to 19.75GHz.
Crystals reduce the size of wearable & IoT technology
AEL Crystals plays a major role in reducing the size of the core technology for wearable and IoT devices, with its three latest products: the 1610 watch crystal; the 1210 crystal; and the 1612 oscillator.
4G LTE modules cover up to six bands
The u-blox TOBY-L2 cellular module range is on sale at Alpha Micro Components. It is a cost-efficient 4G-LTE/3G/2G multi-mode solution offering up to 150/50 Mb/s download/upload rates for data and voice voice, covering up to six LTE bands, up to five WCDMA/DC-HSPA+ bands, and four GSM/EGPRS bands in variants for all continents.
Packet network sync clock combines performance & low power
Silicon Labs has introduced the industry’s highest-performance, most cost-effective packet network synchroniser clock, the Si5348 clock IC. Combining excellent jitter performance with the industry’s smallest footprint and lowest power in a highly integrated, compliant solution, the IC enables hardware designers to implement a “clock-tree-on-a-chip” solution for Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), IEEE 1588v2.
