Offering the new d. scale-HD+ LCD-TFT scaler board as an addition to its tried-and-tested d. vice product family is industrial TFT display and Digital Signage LCD solutions specialist, Display Solution. The d. scale-HD+ is based on Realtek's RTD2486 scaler family and, depending on the variant, has besides the usual inputs DVI, HDMI and DP also a DP-MST output. On the output side, the scaler board supports LCD TFT displays with LVDS interface and resolutions from VGA to Full-HD/WUXGA.

The integrated DP-MST (DisplayPort MultiStream) functionality allows the linking of several d. scale-HD+ based monitors. Depending on the graphics card used, up to 4 Full-HD displays can currently be operated in series. The DP-MST specification even provides for a maximum number of up to eight monitors with a total resolution of 4K.

The on-board Internet Offload Processor with integrated hardwired TCP/IP stack (TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP, PPPoE support) allows on the one hand the control of the scaler via MCCS and on the other hand the realisation of remote diagnostics and control functionality by the integration of arbitrary sensors or actuators with I²C/SPI interface. The also on-board 10/100Mbit 2-port switch facilitates the integration into an existing network.

The integration by the customer can be carried out via the HTML-based user interface or by a customer-specific software implementation. The MCCS (Monitor Control Command Set) is VESA-based and already exists in the Web interface.

Also already implemented in the HTML user interface are a temperature sensor (-40 to 125°C) and an ambient light sensor. Both sensors have an I²C interface with interrupt function. The supported fan controller can also be configured or controlled remotely. Further sensors or actuators can be easily added by the customer at any time. A comprehensive development package is provided for this purpose.

The available capacitive keypad makes the previously required housing openings for the operating buttons superfluous and enables new designs.

The d. scale-HD+ is currently available in three standard versions. Customer-specific assembly variants for individual or cost-sensitive applications are available from a MOQ of 500 units or more.

The entire hardware and firmware is 'Made by Display Solution', which is why customised designs based on the RTD2486 can be realised at any time.
