IoT turnkey solutions enable smart LED lighting

Hodi Technologies has selected Greenvity Communications’ IoT turnkey solutions for multiple smart lighting products. Greenvity’s Smart LED Controller module (GV-LED), IoT Hub board (GV-Controller), IoT cloud and mobile app software have been integrated into a number of Hodi’s next-gen smart LED lighting products, including multiple configurations of its downlights, street lights, T5 lights, T8 lights and other indoor and outdoor lights.

A fully integrated FCC-certified WiFi module with a standalone MCU and hardware security from a single source, which is claimed to be an industry first, has been released by Atmel. Alongside the company’s SMART SAM D21 ARM Cortex M0+-based MCU and ATECC108A optimised CryptoAuthentication engine, the SmartConnect SAM W25 module features Atmel’s recently announced 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n WiFi WINC1500.

Analog Devices has introduced a suite of comprehensive development kits enabling manufacturers of industrial equipment to easily add remote sensing and monitoring capabilities to their IoT and Big Data products via a scalable wireless network. The wireless sensor development kits significantly reduce the time and effort required to move designs from proof-of-concept to production release. The out-of-the-box kits allow engineers to establish a working wireless sensor system in as little as 15 minutes to report and remotely analyse various types of sensor data, such as temperature, humidity and motion/vibration.
