Pokémon Go made Augmented Reality (AR) known to the world. Crunchfish’s software aBubbl for application developers can take Pokémon Go and other applications to the next level by making them truly social. The users get the ability to discover who is nearby, connect and share information.

Imagine you’re out hunting Pokémons. In the park your phone detects some other hunters, one of them a close friend. You send her a message and meet up. Since she is out of Pokéballs you give her some by sliding them over from your phone to hers. Just as easily, she trades you one of her Pokémons.

In this concept from Crunchfish you can make new friends, send messages and share items from within the app.

Although there’s no gym nearby you want to try out your new Pokémon, so you challenge your friend to a one-on-one battle right there. While you’re battling some of the other hunters have formed a group and they send you a message asking you to join. Together you set off in search for more Pokémons. At a gym your team challenges a very powerful opponent, but together you’re able to vanquish him and save the day!

Join a group battle or battle one-on-one. By adding a collaborative layer, AR and VR gets more social, more fun and lets you accomplish more together with others.

Everything described above is possible with Crunchfish’s Connected AR software aBubbl. aBubbl can activate AR in any iOS or Android app and enable users to discover, connect and interact with other people nearby.

Activating Connected AR in an app provides the app users with the abilities to:

  • Discover who is nearby and take attendance
  • Befriend or exchange contacts
  • Broadcast invites to everyone nearby
  • Share information
