IDT receives OEM supplier qualification for DDR4 chipset

Integrated Device Technology has received OEM and memory supplier qualification for it's DDR4 chipset on enterprise servers designed with the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 family. By supporting the latest generation of DDR technologies, the DDR4 server memory interface chipsets enable faster data rates at higher densities on RDIMMs and Load-Reduced DIMMS (LRDIMMs) supported by the Intel Xeon product family.

Platform used to analyse World Cup social media traffic

To analyse social media traffic during the FIFA World Cup finals, Orange Silicon Valley used a processing platform manufactured by IDT. The processing platform, which comprised of IDT's scalable x86 compute cluster and RapidIO interconnect switches and bridges, was developed to test the viability of real-time analysis of network traffic.

Wireless power receiver minimises smartphone component count

The IDTP9025A, a wireless power reciever from IDT, has been incorporated into LG's G3 smartphone. LG and IDT worked together to integrate the chip into the smartphone, with the chip delivering a compact size and simplified application circuit. Supporting the Wireless Power Consortium’s 1.1 standard, the chip utilises a high-efficiency LDO-based architecture to minimize component count.

PCIe clock buffers reduce size and power consumption

Expanding the company's PCIe timing portfolio, Integrated Device Technology has introduced what it claims to be the industry’s first 1.5V PCI Express (PCIe) buffer family. Operating from the same supply voltage as modern SoCs and FPGAs, the 9DBU buffers allow designers to use the same power rail. This reduces system complexity, physical size, and power consumption.

2W wireless power receiver optimised for wearables

Supplied in a compact package suited for small form factors such as wearable technology, Integrated Device Technology has claimed that the IDTP9026 is the world’s smallest 2W wireless power receiver and battery charger. The device has a solution size requirement of less than 30mm2, compared to 65mm2 for other available solutions. It is compliant with the Wireless Power Consortium’s (WPC-1.1) standards.

IDT ships 1m DDR4 registers to meet demand

To meet the demand for DRAM modules for the Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 platform, IDT has shipped 1m DDR4 registers. These include the 4DB0124K data buffer, and TSE2004GB2 thermal sensor with SPD.

Timing devices fulfill smart grid & automation needs

IC produces independent frequencies up to 350MHz

The VersaClock 5 family of programmable clock generators has been announced by IDT, with the company claiming the generators feature best-in-class jitter performance at half the power of competing devices. The 5P49V5901 is an in-system programmable clock generator featuring four universal output pairs capable of producing independent frequencies up to 350 MHz in various output types.

WPC & PMA compliant IC aids in mobile device development

Billed as the industry's first dual-mode, wireless power receiver compatible with both the WPC and PMA standards, the IDTP9023 has been unveiled by IDT. LVDS clock fanout buffers use 60% less power

Enabling up to 60% power and heat dissipation savings, the 8P34S family of clock fanout buffers have been announced by IDT. Offering high-performance AC characteristics similar to that of 3.3V devices, the 1.8V LVDS clock fanout buffers are suited for use in complex, low-noise, high-speed clock designs found in wireless and wireline communications, advanced computing, and networking applications.

DPD demodulators deliver over 1W of power savings

Greg Waters has been named as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Device Technology (IDT) has a new President and Chief Executive Officer. He takes up his new post on January 6 next year. Jeff McCreary, who has served as interim CEO since August 2013, will remain a member of the IDT board of directors.

World’s first JESD204B clock buffer for 2G, 3G and 4G LTE
