emtas and HMS Industrial Networks have announced a strategic collaboration for distribution and development of protocol software for CANopen and SAE J1939. A new range of Anybus .NET Bridges for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP has been introduced by HMS Industrial Networks. Bridging the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and IT, the .NET bridge family enables data from industrial machinery to be presented to .NET-based IT applications. The result is that .NET programmers can build a PC program which exchanges live data with a PLC system — for statistics, analysis or maintenance.

Industrial Ethernet and wireless is fast growing
Accelerated by the increasing need for industrial devices to get connected and the Industrial Internet of Things, industrial Ethernet and wireless growth, is the main finding of HMS Industrial Networks´ annual study of the industrial network market. Industrial Ethernet now accounts for 46% of the market (38 last year). Wireless technologies are also coming on strong, now at 6% market share. Combined, industrial Ethernet and wireless now account for 52% of the market, while fieldbuses are at 48%.
