CETECOM acquisition opens up new industry segments
CETECOM has strengthened its EMC test arm. The Essen-based company has acquired the Mitsubishi Electric International Approval Centre (IAC) in Düsseldorf. The deal will enable CETECOM to penetrate new industry segments. “The experience and the reputation of the Mitsubishi Electric IAC perfectly match with CETECOM’s state-of-the-art service standards”, says CETECOM Chief Executive Officer, Wilfried Klassmann.
Test solution meets Wi-Fi Direct service certification

Facility accredited for mobile payment testing
Essen-based CETECOM says that its Milpitas, California facility has been accredited to offer Visa certification testing for payment-enabled cellular phones and other mobile devices. It is the first test lab in the US to be recognised by Visa.

CETECOM has recently submitted 88 protocol test cases (3GPP TS 36.523-1) on Anite test platform (Anite Conformance Toolset / Anite 9000 Mobile Test Accelerator [TP113]) to the Global Certification Forum (GCF) for validation. This work has now been ratified during the GCF-CAG#22 meeting (20-21 April 2010) held in Beijing, China in FDD-7 and additionally in FDD-13.
