Arrow Electronics has launched the Smart Airport Asset Management Solution, an IoT solution co-created with IBM. NarrowBand-IoT functionality added to ARIS-EDGE
The ARIS (Arrow Renesas IoT Synergy) platform for developing Internet of Things (IoT) devices has been extended by introducing the ARIS-EDGE-NB-IoT shield. The shield, made by Shiratech, features a Quectel BG96 module and plugs onto the ARIS-EDGE-S3 board, which is based on the low-power Renesas Synergy S3A3 microcontroller.

The deal extends Arrow’s portfolio for the Internet of Things (IoT) with the addition of Libelium’s wireless and sensor technology and enables the companies to provide off-the-shelf IoT solutions that require minimal design effort before deployment.
