WiFi and HCI modules, which when combined are claimed to enable seamless integration of Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for enterprise and industrial applications, have been released by Laird. The the 45 series Enterprise-Grade WiFi modules and BT830 Series Bluetooth v4.0 UART HCI modules are suitable for AIDC devices, medical devices, barcode scanners and M2M connectivity.

The 45 series WH-SSD45N and WH-MSD45N 802.11 a/b/g/n Enterprise-Grade WiFi modules enable integration of WiFi connectivity for enterprise security and roaming, increasing ease of use and decreasing time-to-market. These modules support Embedded Windows (Windows Embedded 6.0 and 6.5), Linux and Android (3.0 and above).

The BT830 series Bluetooth v4.0 UART HCI modules enable Bluetooth/BLE connectivity for OS backed devices, again reducing time to market.

Laird's WH-SSD45NBT, a combination of the two modules, enables seamless integration of Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for enterprise and industrial applications requiring secure and reliable connectivity.

“Whether taking these modules as standalone wireless options or as a fully validated bundle solution, the logistics and industrial markets will benefit through a stable multi-wireless environment with extensive driver and integration support spanning virtually every major operating system,” said Jonathan Kaye, Product Director, Laird.
