Duo commit to simplifying LoRa ecosystem
Stream Technologies, the company behind IoT-X, the advanced Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity management platform, and Laird have announced that Laird’s Sentrius RG1xx Long-Range Wireless Area Network (LoRaWAN) gateway is pre-configured out of the box to function with Stream’s LoRaWAN network server and IoT-X platform. Laird has announced that two of its WLAN antennas have been used by a Japanese electronics manufacturer to improve infrastructure locally. The PDM24519, a WLAN 3-port MIMO antenna, is part of a WiFi system installed in the Shinjuku downtown area, while the OC24527, a WLAN OMNI antenna, is part of a tsunami monitoring system installed along the pacific coast line.

Laird Announces New RF Transceiver with Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum Technology

Laird announced the release of the CL024 transceiver from its Embedded Wireless Solutions unit. The CL024 transceiver is a Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) radio designed for license-free operation in the 2.4 GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band.
