Laird Technologies today announced the release of its new SAH24-120-12 horizontally polarized sector antenna. The antenna operates in the 2400 to 2500 MHz band with a 13 dBi gain and 120 degree expanded beamwidth horizontal polarization (HPOL). HPOL increases the range of the antenna over flat surfaces and minimizes vertically polarized (VPOL) signals produced by electrical and wireless devices by cancelling out those VPOL signals. Optimized for low cross-polarization and low sidelobes, the SAH24-120-12 is especially useful in spectrally crowded areas.
“The SAH24-120-12 horizontally polarized sector antenna possesses a high discrimination of vertically polarized signals with a 120 degree of horizontal beamwidth,” said Quaid Rasheed, Laird Technologies BWA Antenna Product Manager. “Not only is it a very cost-effective solution in built-up areas for wireless local loop (WLL), multichannel multipoint distribution service (MMDS), and point-to-multipoint applications, but this super rugged and lightweight antenna is also ETSI SS compliant.”

The SAH24-120-12 antenna is designed for 2.4 GHz ISM band applications, 802.11 wireless systems, WLAN access points, wireless broadband systems, and wireless internet.
