Livingston has announced a new initiative which will help engineers to rent the various tools required for their RF testing/analysis tasks while minimising the financial investment involved. The company will offer its customers the capability to bring together multiple RF test products into a bundled package, with a resulting 10% discount in the overall rental cost.

It will be possible to mix and match any of the analyser and generator options available to create a kit that best suits specific application needs.

“The new fully adaptable RF test kits, will allow engineers to pick products within our expansive portfolio, from leading global equipment manufacturers, in order to produce a functionally focused RF text system that ensures the highest possible levels performance and obtains very accurate results,” states Reinier Treur, Marketing Director at Livingston. “This initiative further underlines the key advantages of a rental approach to equipment sourcing over direct purchase. It gives our customers total flexibility while reducing the size of the payments to an even greater degree.”

A full list of the items of equipment that can be chosen as part of the Livingston RF test kit offering can be found here.

Among them are:

-The Agilent N8241A multi-channel arbitrary waveform generator, which thanks to its 65 dBc spurious-free dynamic range can produce complex signals with very high fidelity. Each channel provides a modulation bandwidth of either 500 MHz at 1.25 GSamples/s or 250 MHz at 625 MSamples/s.

-The Aeroflex 3413 digital signal generator, which offers a frequency range of 250 kHz to 3 GHz and high performance vector modulation in a compact, lightweight unit.

-The Aeroflex 2041 low noise generator, which has a frequency range of 10 kHz to 2.7 GHz, 0.1 Hz frequency resolution and -140 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1 GHz.

-The Rohde & Schwarz ZVB8 vector network analyser, which has a frequency range of 300 kHz to 8 GHz, a dynamic range of up to 140 dB and a typical temperature stability of 0.01 dB/°C.

-The Agilent E4440A PSA high performance spectrum analyser with 10 MHz analysis bandwidth. This unit has -118 dBc/Hz phase noise and a W-CDMA ACLR dynamic range of 81 dB.
