Anritsu continues its Total Leadership in LTE Conformance Testing

Anritsu demonstrated the continuation of its total leadership in LTE conformance testing at the October 2012 GCF CAG-32 meeting in Edinburgh. In the area of RF and RRM testing, 21 new test cases were approved, more than twice any other supplier and for Protocol the 221 new test case approvals were 30 more than any other supplier.

These key industry tests are becoming highly relevant to support the global deployment of LTE networks and devices, particularly as many leading Smartphones are now LTE capable and are being promoted in leading networks. The GCF certification scheme is helping the industry to ensure a high quality of devices across the industry, to provide the best possible LTE user experience for the subscribers.

“Anritsu is constantly pushing the boundaries of LTE and these new approvals clearly demonstrate our commitment to the LTE mobile industry” said Jonathan Borrill, Marketing Director of Anritsu EMEA. “This level of leadership is only achieved through close working partnerships with customers, Anritsu’s market leading measurement platforms and our committed product development teams. The Anritsu platforms have been leading GCF certification of LTE devices since the first industry approvals were made almost two years ago, and we continue to maintain our position with the highest number of approved LTE test cases.”

The ME7873L RF Conformance Test System and the ME7834L Protocol Conformance Test System form two key parts of Anritsu’s comprehensive LTE testing portfolio, covering the entire LTE ecosystem from initial design through manufacturing to deployment and maintenance. The submission of new test cases at these industry forums allows the Test equipment vendors to extend the coverage of the certification schemes and support deployment of new device capabilities.
