A family of 25W, 50W and 100W attenuators have been introduced by Fairview Microwave. The family, numbering 236 devices, feature 3, 6, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60dB attenuation options, and can be ordered with SMA, TNC, Type-N and 7/16 DIN in-series connector configurations. The attenuators also come in each gender interface, including male-male, male-female and female-female.

The 25W versions are bi-directional, while the 50W and 100W are directional. To aid heat dissipation at high temperatures, all of the attenuators are constructed with black anodised aluminium heatsink bodies and are designed with large cooling fins. Common applications include power limiting, impedance matching and signal leveling inside RF test systems.

“Our newest lines of 25, 50 and 100W attenuators are an essential addition to our growing portfolio of RF attenuators,” explains Greg Arnold, Technical Sales Manager, Fairview Microwave. “With over 236 new low, medium and high power attenuators to choose from, customers now have the freedom to select their desired products from one of the largest offerings of off-the-shelf fixed attenuators in our industry.”
