Partnership develops a complete IoT solution

Global software services company, Mobica, has announced a collaboration with Advantech to provide an end to end Internet of Things (IoT) solution. Mobica, a Silver member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN) and global provider of software engineering, testing and consultancy services, developed a solution which aggregates data from a variety of sensors and sends it to the Oracle Internet of Things Cloud Service for analysis and integration.

Mobica used an Advantech UTX-3115 IoT gateway and a M2.COM based WISE-1520 Low-Power WiFi IoT node for sensor input.

The use of Advantech’s technology platform for data acquisition and the software developed by Mobica, in conjunction with the Oracle IoT Cloud Service for data analytics, enabled a complete end-to-end IoT solution including remote monitoring and management.

Eric Ljungberg, CEO Mobica, said: “We are very excited to be working on something that many industries can now create real value from. Using our integration expertise and Advantech’s gateway means that IoT solutions can be built and deployed quickly, allowing the benefits from Oracle Cloud to be realised faster.”

Bernd Hacker, Europe Director of Business Development and Marketing, Advantech, added: “Our objective is to provide IoT enabled platforms to serve domain-focused cloud service providers and system designers. We are pleased that Mobica selected Advantech technology to build their IoT solution from device to cloud.”
