Hackathon to offer the opportunity to create next gen connected devices

 

Intel is hosting a two day hackathon on March 11th-12th, 2017 at the IBA Forum in Fürth, Germany. The hackathon will kick-off at 9.00am on Saturday morning.

The hackathon will offer a diverse group of 150 developers, makers, designers and industrial IoT experts the opportunity to create next generation connected devices and solutions in the areas of industrial, smart city, and security and privacy.

Participants will be able to leverage the Intel EPID open source SDK and cloud based verification service to create a solution that leverages EPID anonymity properties. Intel will award a $2,500 prize to the most creative application that showcases privacy/anonymity as a key tenant.

Partnering with Intel on this event is the IBM Watson IoT team, whom are eager to help developers Build with Watson and enchant IoT devices with Cognitive capabilities. Participants can enter the IBM Watson Challenge: Best Use of Watson Cognitive IoT, in which they will have the opportunity to leverage the power of cognitive computing and connect their IoT sensors to the Watson IoT Platform in awe inspiring ways. The IBM Watson Cognitive Challenge will award the winning team for the best use of Watson Cognitive and Bluemix APIs with Apple Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones.

All Hackathon participants will receive a complimentary e-voucher to register for free entrance to the 2017 Embedded World Conference. The code for this e-voucher will be emailed to eligible participants prior to the Hackathon.
