INTEGRITY Security Services (ISS), a Green Hills Software company, has announced the launch of the latest Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) service for secure Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates to network-connected IoT devices in all industries. The DLM OTA Service enables product developers with remote update and management capabilities, providing defence-in-depth protection against defects while continually improving the product in the field.

For the first time, IoT product developers have one place to go for all-in-one security, supply chain asset management, and device management. The DLM OTA Service is a secure end-to-end solution to lock down IoT devices and deliver updates in a scalable, portable and extensible way.

“Today’s IoT devices with open source platforms include millions of lines of code,” said David Sequino, Vice President and General Manager of INTEGRITY Security Services. “Considering simple industry metrics, there will be hundreds of vulnerabilities discovered over the next five years and thousands more undiscovered, representing potential for a zero-day attack. The ISS DLM OTA Service arms product developers with the ability to quickly respond and fix any issue, for all devices, even after they’ve left the warehouse.”

DLM provides the highest level of security with the ability to digitally sign updates to ensure device software is tamper-free from hacks and malware. DLM signs and formats packages for compatibility with leading hardware root-of-trust components. Digital trust assets and signing keys are always protected from breach across the entire supply chain. The company claims that DLM is the first platform to incorporate security and device management in one platform, making it essential for IoT product and network carriers to securely deploy updates and manage mission-critical devices.
