Military-grade security for ARM-based IoT designs at ARM TechCon

Enhanced technologies speed-up mass deployment of IoT devices

ARM is releasing a new suite of products to accelerate secure IoT technology deployments at scale by businesses. The ARMmbed IoT Device Platform products and technologies will be unveiled at ARM TechCon 2015, Santa Clara, CA, from the 10th-12th Nov. The release includes mbed Device Connector, a free service that businesses can use to connect and securely manage IoT devices. It also includes the enhanced mbed OS (Technology Preview version) and new mbed Reference Designs. The products will shorten hardware design time, giving innovators greater ability to focus on product differentiation.

Semtech to help Swisscom participants build compelling IoT solutions

Semtech Corporation has announced its planned participation in Swisscom’s first IoT hackathon in Zürich on 6th-8th November at Impact Hub Zürich. Semtech will assist competitors in the 40-hour hackathon competition by providing  instruction on the use of its LoRa RF long range wireless technology platform, which includes the tools participants need to build low-power, wide-area networks (LPWAN) to enable compelling IoT, M2M and smart city applications. Swisscom currently has LoRa-based IoT networks deployed in Geneva and Zürich to pilot test various IoT applications prior to nationwide deployment.
