The moto for Elexcon 2018 is the 'Witness True China’s Electronic Innovation'. The annual event, held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from 20th to 22nd December 2018, will feature technologies including AI, 5G, smart home, IoT, smart driving, new energy, and intelligent systems. Elexcon 2018 will feature three technology hubs all aimed at the current industry trends and future technology developments.

A spin-off initiative from the research and innovation hub imec, Pharrowtech, has announced that it will demonstrate a prototype of a 60GHz active phased array at the Telecom Infra Project Summit in London. Pharrowtech’s solution paves the way for telecom OEMs to increase range and field of view of backhaul nodes, access points and home units.
