Location services accuracy increased using Bluetooth 5.1

New Bluetooth software for the Wireless Gecko portfolio, and a comprehensive connectivity solution for the Internet of Things (IoT), have been released by Silicon Labs. Bluetooth mesh technology for smart home products

It has been announced that Xiaomi (01810.HK) has launched new smart home products using Bluetooth mesh networking technology from Silicon Labs. The new products from Mi Ecosystem partners include smart LED light bulbs, candle bulbs, downlights and spotlights. The voice-assistant XiaoAi smart alarm clock serves as a gateway to control smart Bluetooth mesh lights through voice commands.

Cost-effective and efficient home automation with RD-0098 Kit

At electronica 2018 Silicon Laboratories presented its Lighting Reference Design RD-0098. The RD-0098 works with ZigBee 3.0 protocol and is designed for Home automation. The RD-0098 consists of a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3/4 processor, encryption accelerators AES128 and advanced Crypto accelerators SHA-1/2 and ECC, PHY and MAC layers 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4, and flash memory 512kB – 1024kB.

Silicon Labs has introduced a new family of low power PCI Express (PCIe) Gen 1/2/3/4 clock buffers that provide ultra-low jitter clock distribution in 1.5 and 1.8V applications.
