Pentek has announced the new member of its Jade family of high-speed data converter XMC FPGA modules: the 2-channel Jade Model 71865, a 200MHz 16-bit A/D channeliser with 762 narrowband digital down converters (DDCs) and 4 wideband DDCs, based on the Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA. The Model 71865 is an economical and energy efficient, complete software radio receiver solution for commercial, military and government high-channel count applications.

A new addition has been introduced to Pentek's Talon series of recorders, the Model RTR 2745 rugged rackmount recorder. This newrecorder, optimised for rugged operating environments, increases the bandwidth for record and playback of the Talon Rackmount Series with capability to capture and reproduce signal bandwidths up to 560MHz. The RTR 2745 is a turnkey, wideband recording and playback system that provides real-time capture of RF and IF signals.

Signal quality improved with digital down converter IP modules

The newest member of its highly popular Onyx family of high-performance XMC FPGA modules has been announced by Pentek. The Onyx Model 71791 XMC module is an L-Band RF tuner with two 500MHz ADCs based on the high density Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. The Model 71791 is designed for connection directly to SATCOM or communications system L-band signals.

Pentek has introduced two FlexorSets featuring the ground breaking Texas Instruments ADC32RF45 dual 14-bit 3 GSPS A/D converter. The FlexorSet Model 5973-320 for 3U VPX and Model 7070-320 for PCIe consist of the new Flexor Model 3320 configurable 2-Channel A/D and 2-Channel D/A FMC installed on either of two carriers. The carriers contain optimised Pentek FPGA intellectual property (IP) for A/D acquisition and D/A waveform generation, optimally matching the features of the FMC. A rich set of software development tools enables rapid application development and speeds time to market.

A recorder, capable of capturing a wide band of signals in real time to disk, has been introduced by Pentek. The RTR 2729A, designed for Talon RF/IF signal recording and playback systems, is equipped with a 3.6 GHz 12-bit A/D converter. With its DDC, the recorder can capture tunable IF signals with bandwidths up to 360MHz continuously, for over four hours.

Accepting RF signals over the range of 400 MHz to 4 GHz, the 7120 RF tuner amplifies, filters and downconverts them to an IF signal suitable for analog-to-digital conversion. An expansion of the existing Bandit RF tuner product line, the 7120 is specifically designed for communications, radar and signal intelligence applications.

A single channel, 1 GHz 12-bit A/D, 1 GHz 16-bit D/A module, the Onyx Model 71730 is based on the high density Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. Supporting signal bandwidths up to 400 MHz, the Model 71730 can receive and transmit at the same sampling rate.

Pentek has introduced an enhancement to its fastest-ever data acquisition XMC module for the popular Cobalt family. The Model 71641, capable of digitizing one 12-bit channel at 3.6 GHz, or two channels at 1.8 GHz, comes preconfigured with a programmable one- or two-channel digital downconverter loaded into the onboard Xilinx Virtex-6 FPGA.
