A collaboration has been announced between Panasonic Industry Europe (PIDEU) and the software company OpenSynergy. The first result of this cooperation is the Bluetooth WLAN evaluation platform PAN 9026 ETU. The PAN 9026 module uses the Marvell 88W9877 Combo Controller with Bluetooth v5.0 and WLAN 802.11 n / a / g / b.

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems Europe's range of NFC tags has expanded with the introduction of a new IC for batteryless RF communication which is compliant with JISX6319-4 (212kbps/424kbps), ISO/IEC14443 TypeA (106kbps), and ISO/IEC14443 TypeB (106kbps/212kbps/424kbps) 13.56-MHz contactless IC card standards and therefore guarantees global interoperability.

Grid-EYE smartphone app enables data capture
The Grid-EYE App for iOS, which enables capturing data from the Grid-EYE evaluation kit via the Bluetooth smart module PAN1740 on to a smartphone has been announced by Panasonic Automotive and Industrial Systems Europe. The data from the Grid-EYE evaluation kit (integrating a Grid-EYE sensor, a nanopower PAN1740 Bluetooth Smart module and a microcontroller) consists of 64 pixels temperature values which correspond to the 8x8 pixels of the Grid-EYE sensor.

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems is launching a Grid-EYE IR Array sensor evaluation kit this autumn that combines its ‘nanopower’ PAN1740 Bluetooth Smart module and a MCU on one PCB. By combining its IR sensor technology with Bluetooth technology and software for IR detection of people and objects on one board, Panasonic enables customers to develop rapid prototypes and quickly build their own wireless sensor IoT applications.

Panasonic enters Wi-Fi module market with full range of products that simplify design and cut cost

Panasonic Automotive & Industrial Systems is entering the WiFi market with new modules designed to allow developers to get to market ahead of their competition. At Electronica 2014, Panasonic is presenting three different Wi-Fi module series: shortly after, the company plans to introduce additional combo Wi-Fi modules with different wireless technologies and multi-frequency options.
