MACOM Technology Solutions has introduced seven new high-performance CATV amplifiers designed for 5V operation covering both upstream 5-300 MHz and downstream 45-1218 MHz. These amplifiers are offered in a single ended SOT-89 package and differential SOIC-8EP package. Additionally each product family is layout compatible allowing design engineers performance flexibility on the same system board.

Designed for use in point to point radios in cellular backhaul applications, the MAAP-011161 and MAAP-011193 packaged linear power amplifiers have been announced by MACOM Technology Solutions. The MAAP-011161 and MAAP-011193 operate over 7.1-7.9GHz and 7.7-8.5GHz, respectively, and are intended for 7 and 8GHz radio applications.

MACOM Technology Solutions has announced that it has commenced sample shipments of its highly integrated E-Band transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) modules, the MAMF-011057 and the MADC-011014, designed to enable the emerging wideband cellular backhaul and 5G millimeterwave market needs. Helping to accelerate the evolution to higher capacity backhaul, MACOM’s surface mountable E-Band Tx and Rx modules simplify the design and manufacturing of low cost E-band point to point radios. MACOM’s E-Band module solution will be featured in a 5G millimeterwave product demo at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2016.

According to the company, the 4–23GHz mixer provides a wider frequency coverage than competing mixers. The cost-effective mixer is suitable for a variety of applications, including test and measurement, electronic warfare, point-to-point wireless and video satellite.
