Solid-state RF power transistors modernise microwave ovens

The 250W MHT1003N and 350W MHT1002N RF power transistors, designed for consumer and commercial microwave oven appliance OEMs, have been released by Freescale Semiconductor. While the MHT1003N provides 58% power added efficiency for 2.45GHz microwave oven applications, the MHT1002N provides 63% for 915MHz microwave applications.

'Industry's first' plastic-housed amplifiers with VSWR >65:1

The MRFE6VP5150 and MRFE6VP5300, plastic packaged power amplifiers designed for harsh environments, has been introduced by Freescale Semiconductor. These amplifiers are claimed to be the industry’s first devices to be housed in over molded plastic packaging with a VSWR rating of more than 65:1.

2W power amplifier reduces design time and costs

Covering all frequency bands between 1500 and 2700MHz, the MMZ25333B 2W integrated power amplifier has been introduced by Freescale. The amplifiers operate with a 5V supply and deliver more than 40dB of gain, supporting any cellular standard operating at this frequency - including GSM, 3G, 4G and LTE.

RF power transistors cover all major cellular bands

Freescale Semiconductor's Airfast RF power solutions cover all major cellular infrastructure bands from 700-2700MHz. The AFT27S006N and AFT27S010N deliver peak power of 6W and 10W, respectively. Suited for macro base station MIMO applications rated up to 40W average power, the transistors can also be used as universal driver devices for a variety of additional RF applications.
