First mass deployment of VDSL system level vectoring

Lantiq and KEYMILE announce volume shipments of system level vectoring equipped VDSL Linecards to a major Telecommunications Carrier. A majority of these VDSL Linecards is already deployed in the field and vectoring based broadband services are expected to be offered to consumers by the end of 2013.

The joint Lantiq/KEYMILE 192 channel vectoring solution is the world’s first field deployed system level vectoring solution implemented in a mature, cost and power efficient System-on-Chip / ASSP approach – making Lantiq the leader in VDSL vectoring SoC’s to date.

System level VDSL vectoring is critically important for service providers to efficiently extend the broadband performance of the copper network in a very cost effective manner.

  • Proven interoperable, full-scale system level vectoring on 192 channels, based on the Lantiq VINAX IVE1000 for central office equipment,

  • By effectively eliminating crosstalk on system level, service providers are able to more than double data rates and achieve 200 Mbps aggregate up- and downstream data rate.

The KEYMILE system, based on Lantiq’s VINAX IVE1000 is available in high-volume production.
