Designed as 10W wireless power solutions for smartphones, tablets and mobile accessories using the Qi Standard Low Power Specifications version 1.1, the TC7765WBG wireless power receiver IC and TB6865AFG transmitter IC have been released by Toshiba Electronics Europe.

Due to the increasing use of wireless power supplies to charge portable devices, such as smartphones, tablets and their accessories, demand is growing for higher-power wireless charging systems that shorten charge times. By boosting the output voltage from 5V/1A to 7-12V/1A, the TC7765WBG increases power. The TB6865AFG Enhanced Version is based on a revised peripheral circuit configuration and new software.

To eliminate the need for set makers to develop software, the TC7765WBG features a built-in protocol authentication logic circuit for power supply control. The software necessary for the higher power supply operation is also supported by the TB6865AFG Enhanced Version, allowing designers to easily incorporate 10W solutions into their products.

The TC7765WBG and TB6865AFG will be available in sample quantities at the end of January and production quantities at the beginning of June.
