To deliver HD- and true CD-quality audio directly to wireless speakers and AV receivers, the Microchip JukeBlox Platform now supports Qobuz Connect. By using the Qobuz Connect, users can stream audio from cloud servers rather than from a phone, tablet and audio devices.

Users can, therefore, use their handheld devices for other activities, while reducing the battery usage. The Qobuz Connect also allows users to move throughout the WiFi network without losing connection and affecting playback.

Qobuz is the first online music service to provides access to all the music labels (majors and independents) and all artists in all genres of music in Hi-Fi audio streaming. Subscriptions are available for unlimited music streaming and lossless downloads in True CD quality (16-bit/44.1kHz) of more than 24m titles, and HD downloads of more than 25,000 albums in 24-bit up to 192kHz.

Qobuz is launching mobile applications for both Android and iOS, allowing Microchip to enable any consumer electronics company to add Hi-Fi audio streaming into new or existing products in the field with just a firmware upgrade.

Qobuz is available now and priced at €/£9.99 a month for a Premium Subscription, and €/£19.99 for a Hi-Fi Subscription.
