M/A-COM Technology Solutions continues to serve the diverse markets, including CATV, wireless infrastructure, optical communications, aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial, medical, and mobile devices with the release of a new Limiter Diode designed for passive limiter control circuits in L- and S- Band applications.
The MADL-011008 is a silicon PIN limiter diode specifically designed for customers seeking solutions for S- and L- Band medium signal applications. The MADL-011008 is built to provide lower insertion loss at zero bias compared to other competing parts. Unlike the competition, the device boasts excellent CW Flat Leakage in a small 1.2x1.5mm PDFN – allowing customers an efficient and high performing diode solution.

“The MADL-011008 is ideally designed to provide lower insertion loss at zero bias for passive limiter control circuits,” said Paul Beasly, Product Manager. “Furthermore, the lower flat leakage power and fast signal recovery time make this limiter a very high performing small size solution.”

The MADL-011008 PIN limiter is designed for use in passive limiter control circuits to protect sensitive receiver components such as Low noise amplifiers (LNAs), detectors, and mixers. Operating between the 50MHz – 4GHz frequency range, the diode limiter exhibits +40dBm Peak and +30dBm CW Power, allowing for excellent performance over the 50 MHz to 4 GHz frequency band.
