BlackBird v2 provides 75% better range
An upgrade to the original BlackBird CAN to WLAN interface, the BlackBird v2 HS CAN 2.0 to WLAN interface has been unveiled by Kvaser AB. Incorporating a new radio chip that gives it up to 75% better range, the Blackbird v2 can be accessed from any tablet PC or smartphone due to a new REST-based API.
Chipset 'turbocharges' home networking performance
At the Broadband World Forum Show, Lantiq unveiled the latest additions to its AnyWAN VDSL2 and Ethernet Home Gateway chipset family. The new additions to the AnyWAN VDSL2 and Ethernet Home Gateway chipset family feature the GRX330 communications processor, which uses a dedicated acceleration engine to maximize 802.11ac Wi-Fi throughput while keeping the CPU available for other tasks.

Infineon introduces the world's smallest GNSS module
Today at the European Microwave Week tradeshow, Infineon announced the latest generation of its pico GNSS modules for smartphones. BGM1143N9 is a combination of a low-insertion-loss pre-filter and Infineon’s high performance low noise amplifier in a TSNP-9 package. It is the smallest module worldwide, features very high linearity, lowest noise figure and supports all navigation standards including GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou.
