Claiming to be the industry’s first Qi-compliant single-chip wireless power transmitter supporting a 5V input, the IDTP9038 from Integrated Device Technology is designed for use in wireless charging systems. The transmitter enables the development of USB-powered wireless charging bases with 75% fewer IC's than competing solutions.

Broadcom claim that the BM43569 is the industry's first dual-band 2x2 MIMO combo chip with a USB 3.0 interface and advanced coexistence technology that enables superior performance by allowing smart TVs to receive both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals simultaneously.
Combining TransferJet, NFC and Qi wireless charging
At Embedded World 2014, Toshiba will be demonstrating a Digital Kiosk which combines TransferJet, NFC and Qi wireless charging technology. In this example use case rich digital content, including HD video, can be quickly purchased and downloaded to mobile devices, such as smartphones.

GNSS Chip simultaneously supports GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, SBAS and BeiDou
Broadcom has annoucned the launch of a new Global Navigation Satellite System chip. Designated the BCM47531, it can simultaneously generate positioning data from five satellite constellations (GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, SBAS and BeiDou). By supporting the BeiDou constellation, the BCM47531 GNSS chip increases the number of satellites available to a smartphone, enhancing navigation accuracy, particularly in urban settings.
