Wireless test set verified for end to end IP data throughput
Keysight Technologies has announced verification of three component carrier (3CC) end-to-end IP data throughput with the recently introduced E7515A UXM wireless test set. Utilising three 20 MHz component carriers in the downlink for a total aggregated bandwidth of 60 MHz, Keysight successfully demonstrated 450 Mbps DL/50 Mbps UL (category 9) data rates.

Recorder captures tunable IF signals up to 360MHz
A recorder, capable of capturing a wide band of signals in real time to disk, has been introduced by Pentek. The RTR 2729A, designed for Talon RF/IF signal recording and playback systems, is equipped with a 3.6 GHz 12-bit A/D converter. With its DDC, the recorder can capture tunable IF signals with bandwidths up to 360MHz continuously, for over four hours.

Software platform upgraded to cover more 4G technologies

The Agilent Technologies EEsof EDA W1918LTE-Advanced baseband verification library has added support for key 4G technologies, such as Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) and Coordinated Multi-Point (CoMP). The new modelling and simulation capability enables wireless system architects to model sophisticated dynamic behaviours and realistic performance at cell edges according to the physical layer (PHY) specifications of 3GPP Releases 10 and 11.
