15GHz models extend sampling oscilloscope series
Three 15GHz models and a further 25GHz model have been added to its professional, portable and low-cost PicoScope 9300 Series of Sampling Oscilloscopes by Pico Technology. The 15GHz models replace the preceding 9200 Series 12GHz models, with significantly upgraded specifications at even lower prices, with the result that all Pico Sampling Oscilloscopes now operate under the much-respected PicoSample 3 software.

A test system for manufacturing quality control of in-car wireless chargers was introduced by Alfamation at productronica in Munich. The tester supports different charging standards, including Qi, PMA and more, as well as Near Field Communications (NFC). Due to its architecture, the in-line tester can perform parallel, or multi-site, functional test of up to four devices at the same time.

The Industrial Revolution put the UK at the forefront of technology as engineers such as Isambard Kingdom-Brunel pioneered advancements in transport, manufacturing and utilities. During the early part of the 19th century the open sewer that was the River Thames caused all manner of public health issues in what was an extremely densely populated city – these included a devastating cholera outbreak. As a consequence the Government resolved to create a modern sewerage system in 1856.
