Designed for indoor/outdoor commercial telecomms and cellular applications as well as Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), low PIM (Passive InterModulation) RF cables, assemblies, adapters and terminations have been released by Fairview Microwave.

The cable assemblies, which are built using formable 0.141 or 0.250 low PIM coax or 0.5” flexible and superflexible low PIM coax, can be ordered with in-series or between-series combinations of Type-N, SMA, 7/16 DIN and 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN connectors. Depending on the configuration, the cables operate up to 3 or 6GHz, with PIM performance of -160dBc and 1.25:1 VSWR.

The company’s low PIM adapters are available in combinations of SMA, TNC, Type-N, 7/16 DIN and 4.1/9.5 mini-DIN coaxial connectors. The RF adapters have PIM performance ranging from -150 to -168dBc, operating frequencies of up to 8GHz and VSWR of 1.25:1. Medium and high power low PIM RF loads are also available from Fairview. Offered in 50 and 100W versions, the loads operate up to 2.7GHz and have PIM ratings of -168dBc.

“Our expanded lines of low PIM RF components are suitable for PIM-critical applications such as cellular/PCS, DAS, OEM in-rack RF routing, in-building systems, land mobile radio applications and portable PIM testing,” commented Greg Arnold, Technical Sales Manager, Fairview Microwave. “Our customers now have access to one of the largest in-stock selections of low PIM products in the industry.”
