Transistor delivers 750W CW for 915MHz applications
Supplier of RF power transistors, NXP Semiconductors, has announced what it claims to be the industry’s highest power transistor for 915MHz applications. The MRF13750H transistor delivers 750W continuous wave (CW), 50% higher than comparable products currently available on the market. Based on 50V silicon LDMOS, this transistor extends the limits of solid-state RF generation, making the MRF13750H an alternative to vacuum tubes for very high power industrial systems.

IC facilitates batteryless RF communication
A new IC for batteryless RF communication has been launched by Panasonic, extending its range of NFC tags. The MN63Y1221-E1 guarantees global interoperability as well as low power consumption. The new IC is available from Rutronik. The MN63Y1221-E1 is compliant with JISX6319-4 (212kbps/ 424kbps), ISO/IEC14443 Type A (106kbps), and ISO/IEC14443 Type B (106kbps/212kbps/424kbps) 13.56-MHz contactless IC card standard, thus guaranteeing global interoperability.

Simplifying RF, microwave and millimetre-wave design and evaluation
Analog Devices (ADI) have announced that it has entered into a collaboration with X-Microwave LLC, a leading provider of RF and microwave modular blocks, to help designers more quickly and effectively evaluate RF components and prototype complete signal chains. As a first phase of the joint effort, X-Microwave will feature more than 250 ADI RF, microwave and millimetre-wave products as drop-in modular blocks.

A new family of wideband plastic packaged and chip monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) devices has been announced by Microsemi. The products add to a growing portfolio of high performance wideband MMICs and include four plastic packaged low noise amplifiers (LNAs), MMA040PP5, MMA041PP5, MMA043PP4 and MMA044PP3; a wideband power amplifier (PA) chip, MMA053AA; and two plastic packaged switches, MMS006PP3 and MMS008PP3.
