ADL Embedded Solutions has announced its ADLIGW-1600 Rugged IoT gateway. The ADLIGW-1600 is based on Intel’s E3800-series Atom processors which offer vastly improved compute performance and energy efficiency with integrated Intel 7th generation graphics engine for stunning graphics performance.

The ADLIGW-1600 features high quality milled aluminum construction, and is aimed at Industrial IoT gateway applications where high mechanical stress or temperature extremes (-40 to +70ºC) are a consideration.

The ADLIGW-1600 features LAN and 802.11 WiFi cloud connectivity and USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and LAN I/O connectivity. Its wide input power range (20 to 36V) make it suitable for a broad range of industrial settings. It helps bring the benefits of Industrial IoT, increased productivity, energy efficiencies and predictive failure analysis, to many rugged areas previously neglected. Targeted vertical markets include factory automation, transportation, alternative energy, oil and gas and any demanding mobile computing applications in harsh environments.

“Industrial IoT, with its vast network of equipment and sensors connected to the cloud is being deployed at an ever increasing rate and reaching further into many more rugged environments than ever. The ADLIGW-1600 is well suited for this purpose and its superior graphics make it suitable for IoT applications that require local HMI,” explains Martin Kristof, Managing Director, ADL Embedded Solutions.
