For the first time, LEGIC will be presenting at embedded world in Nuremberg, Germany, from February 23 - 25, 2016, focusing on security in the IoT. LEGIC will show potential applications of its product and service portfolio for secure identification and registration of IoT devices as well as secure authorisation and data management.

The following scenario will be demonstrated live: an offline device (i.e. an engine) with LEGIC chip technology will be registered for the IoT. As soon as a user presents his BLE-enabled smartphone with a specific cloud application near the device, the app based on the LEGIC SDK leads the user through the registration process. The LEGIC Connect trusted service deploys an encrypted smart token to the app so that the user is able to manage the device with his smartphone.

Through its LEGIC chip hardware supported registration, the IoT device is clearly identified. The end-to-end security between the device and the customer cloud offers a secure communication channel for the over-the-air exchange of data such as operating hours or the deployment of software updates. In addition, the data can be stored securely encrypted in the cloud, only readable with the authorised key.

LEGIC is a technology provider for contactless applications in the field of RFID, NFC and Bluetooth Smart. The open technology platform for innovative IoT solutions includes secure communication chips, mobile SDKs, tools and evaluation kits as well as the trusted service LEGIC Connect for a secure communication.

Visitors to embedded world are encouraged to discover the benefits of LEGIC's end-to-end security platform for the world of IoT. From hall 5 booth 228, LEGIC personnel will be pleased to inform you in brief about our products and services.
