Cavium reveal that ZTE’s MF15C wireless display adapter uses Cavium’s market-leading CNW6611L media SoC to enable state-of-the-art media streaming and mirroring capabilities, compatible with ZTE’s latest Grand Memo smartphone. With support for high definition content, and optimized interactivity, ZTE’s new adapter is designed to enable users to enjoy a wide range of contents including photos, movies, and music, or play their favourite games on the larger screen of a nearby high resolution TV.

At only 9.6 cm x 3.6 cm x 1.2 cm, ZTE’s new adapter is one of the smallest wireless display adapters in the market today. Live demonstrations of the ZTE Grand Memo and the new media adapter will be available at ZTE’s Booth, Stand 3C64/3C74, Hall 3 at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from Feb 25th through 28th.

“Here at ZTE, we have a long tradition of bringing innovative products to the market,” said Dr. Shuliang Liu, Head of Handset MBB Product Planning & Solution Department at ZTE. “What our customers are looking for today is an easy way of sharing the content on their mobile devices with their friends and family on their larger TV screens. Cavium’s complete media sharing reference solution provided us a path to quickly introduce our ultra small wireless media adapter product to the market, while enabling us to add ZTE’s differentiating features for a better and more interactive user experience.”

Based on Cavium’s industry leading CNW6611L PureVu wireless display SoC, ZTE’s new media ultra small wireless display adapter has all the features for creating a unique consumer experience. The high performance media processing engine provides the flexibility to decode and display a wide range of high quality content. Leveraging Cavium’s industry leading technology in low latency video processing, the ZTE’s new adapter offers optimized end-to-end latency with the Grand Memo phone to provide the consumer seamless interactivity for applications such as gaming.
