Vector Software has formed VectorCAST Global Services. The new organisation will be responsible for helping customers implement industry focused, best-practice-based methodologies to improve software quality. Comprised of embedded software development and test experts, the team will focus on providing complete embedded test solutions that reduce cost, risk and time-to-market for customers.

Vector Software has released the latest version of its embedded software test suite. VectorCAST 6.2 is claimed to deliver the smallest code coverage footprint in the software test space. This reduced code coverage footprint allows customers with limited memory targets to perform coverage analysis with fewer test runs, and offers unequalled user configurability of data collection mechanisms.

Vector Software has today announced the details of a new webinar being held on December 5, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST. Software developers are invited to attend the "Secrets to Designing Testable Software" webinar where they can learn key strategies for writing easy-to-test code.

Vector Software says that the VectorCAST tool suite now supports the SH and TriCore optimising compilers from Green Hills Software. With this integration, developers can now test C and C++ applications built with the SH and TriCore compilers, and execute those tests directly on the supported processors.

Vector Software reveal extended support for the Multicore Real-Time Operating Systems from Green Hills Software. VectorCAST’s multiprocessing support applies to the entire family of Green Hills’ operating systems, from the standard INTEGRITY to INTEGRITY-178B and INTEGRITY-178 tuMP. This includes support for all multicore architecture configurations currently supported by Green Hills Software.
