Manufacturer of antennas and RF antenna modules, Antenova, is introducing two brand new antennas for the ISM and cellular frequencies. These antennas are designed to be used on the exterior of a product, and are built to an ergonomic blade design to blend well into the outside of the design. The first antenna, named Draco (P/N SREL036) is a terminal antenna for 4G, 3G and 2G applications, covering the LTE, HSPA+, WCDMA, CDMA, GSM, GPRS, DCS1800 and PCS1900 bands.

Low-profile antenna targets applications using LPWAN protocols
Manufacturer of antennas and RF antenna modules for M2M and the IoT, Antenova, has announced a new antenna, Grandis, part number SR42I010. It is an SMD antenna that is physically smaller yet provides enhanced performance in the 863-870MHz and 902-928MHz bands. It directly targets the growing number of M2M and IoT applications using the LPWAN protocols. With Grandis, Antenova has reduced the footprint of the LPWAN antenna to 12.0x11.0x1.6mm, while also enhancing the antenna’s performance.

Weightless-P LPWAN SDK launches at CTIA

The Weightless SIG today announced availability of Weightless-P hardware and the pre-launch of a Weightless-P Software Development Kit. In conjunction with Weightless Vendor partner, Antenova, Weightless-P hardware is to be shown at CTIA SuperMobility in Las Vegas, September 7-9. A limited number of free Weightless-P SDKs will be made available to developers in an offer specific to the show.

Antenova has announced two antennas for the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless standard, the Sharpi (part no. SRC5G027) and the Trogona (part no. SR42W009). The antennas are designed for the profusion of high bandwidth applications emerging in the consumer entertainment sector - specifically set-top boxes, IPTV and content streaming devices - all of which are seeing strong growth, in parallel with the roll-out of fibre to the home and the increase of IPTV services.

Antenova has announced that it is shipping its first orders for the TransferJet coupler, Zoma, which the company announced in September 2015, and is collaborating with partner Icoteq to build TransferJet designs for customers worldwide. The Zoma coupler (part no SR4T014) measures just 4x4x0.4mm, which Antenova believes is probably the smallest coupler available in the market.

Antenova has built a model design for On Board Devices (OBDs) and vehicle telematics, which the company will be showing at CTIA Supermobility 2015. The OBD design uses three antennas inside an OBD housing to link to a satellite (GNSS), Bluetooth and a terrestrial network, whilst obtaining optimum performance from all three antennas simultaneously. The design also features a small GNSS RF module to fix location, which Antenova is showing for the first time.
