The nRF52810 from Nordic Semiconductor is a power efficient and high performance multiprotocol SoC supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), ANT and 2.4GHz proprietary protocols. The SoC has been designed to offer advanced features such as Bluetooth 5 and a powerful ARM Cortex-M4 CPU at a level that makes it compelling for even the lowest cost Bluetooth Low Energy applications.

The new Nordic nRF52810 supports Bluetooth 5 which is characterised by high throughput (2Mbps), 'advertising extensions' and improved co-existence features. The SoC is supportet by the S112 Soft Device, an optimised BLE protocol software version ('stack') that reserves less memory but still ensures the use of all BLE functions.

The ARM Cortex-M4 processor enables the most demanding applications to be realised in a single chip solution and all protocol handling to be executed in the shortest time frame.

Thus, the SoC can return to sleep faster and save power. Furthermore, the IC has a comprehensive system of automated and adaptive power management features and all individual peripherals and clocks offer complete flexibility of power down when not required for task operation.

The operating voltage between 1.7 and 3.6V is suited for the direct connection to a cell battery.

Nordic provides besides Bluetooth 5 also ANT and proprietary 2.4GHz protocols for the free programmable chip.

Furthermore, it contains high definition RSSI and highly automated functionality, including EasyDMA for direct memory access during sending and receiving mode.

After the counterpart with additional features like USB, NFC, IEEE 802.15.4, co-processor and bigger memory, the nRF52810 is the most cost-efficient member of the nRF52-series and still offers sufficient performance.

With the latest version of the nRF5 SDK (Software Development Kit) Nordic offers a complete development area which supports now next to KEIL, IAR, GCC also SEGGER 'Embedded Studio‘.

The nRF52810 is available in package QFN-48 with 6x6mm² and QFN-32 with 5x5mm² and offers up to 32 GPIOs.
