According to a recent survey, the average person loses 5.6 umbrellas in their lifetime. The Kisha umbrella, claimed to be the world’s first smart umbrella, can never be lost.

The Kisha connects to the user’s phone via Bluetooth. If the user moves 30m or more away from the umbrella, their phone will sound an alarm before displaying a map of the item’s whereabouts. The exception to this is when the umbrella is left in the user’s home, office or car, all of which are considered safe zones by the Kisha app.

The app also lets the user know what the weather forecast is for the day ahead. If there is a chance of precipitation, the app tells the user to take their umbrella with them when they leave the house.

Featuring 16 fibreglass ribs, the water and corrosion proof Kisha has been ‘built to last’. The umbrella, which has been carefully stitched, is particularly easy to open and close.

Available now, the Kisha umbrella is priced at £50 and offered with a three-year warranty.
