Antenova, M2M, the new trading name of Antenova, has today revealed its focus on the global Machine-to-Machine and Connected Device markets. Antenova M2M’s high performing gigaNOVA off-the-shelf antennas and RADIONOVA RF Antenna Modules provide optimal embedded antenna solutions to meet the size, efficiency, low power consumption, reliability and cost objectives of OEMs, module vendors and system integrators offering products for wireless M2M applications in the consumer, enterprise, industrial, security, automotive and maritime industries.
“The global M2M market is growing at rapid pace and Antenova M2M is fast becoming the antenna partner of choice with wireless module vendors, system integrators and device manufacturers,” stated Colin Newman, vice president of sales and marketing at Antenova M2M. “gigaNOVA cellular SMD antennas Rubra and Calvus are extremely popular with module and device vendors as they provide high efficiency with the ease of integration of a standard surface mount device, and suitable for GSM/GPRS modules as well as 3G modules for vendors looking to future proof their products. Space saving Clarki A10464 Quad-band antenna is particularly popular with cellular module vendors as it is intended to be corner mounted over the modem module, allowing the module and antenna to share PCB space.”

Antenova M2M’s antennas solutions have a proven track record in a broad range of wireless M2M and Embedded Device applications, including Telematics, Automatic Meter Reading, mHealth, Wireless Security, Home Automation, Trackers, Industrial Computing, Fixed Wireless Access and Electronic Shelf Labels. gigaNOVA 2.4 GHz antennas have become an industry standard for Bluetooth (BT, BT EDR, BT LE) and Wi-Fi applications, including new body worn medical monitors and expanded vehicle connectivity systems. Kirbii A10472 ISM antenna addresses small size and reliable performance requirements for remote monitoring and security applications operating in the 896 MHz and 915 MHz bands, while Indica 2.4 GHz chip antenna is ideally suited for electronic shelf applications due to its small size. GPS RADIONOVA RF Antenna Modules continue to win design-ins and are implemented in several Personal Trackers, Automatic Vehicle Locators, Vehicle ‘Black Box’ and Maritime Emergency Identification and Tracking devices.

Newman added, “Most of our customers require more than one type of wireless connectivity for their M2M applications. For instance, most tracker applications for vehicles and personal safety require a GPS connection for location information and a cellular connection for communicating back to the system operator, while home automation or security systems may use a Bluetooth, ZigBee or ISM connection for communication between nodes in the home, office or building, but use a Wi-Fi, GSM or LTE broadband connection to the service provider. Antenova M2M has extensive experience and know-how working with multiple wireless technologies and we offer matching, integration and test services to ensure optimal performance of customer devices and systems.”
