MWC2017:1.2 GHz analysis bandwidth ushers in 5G R&D test solution

Rohde & Schwarz announced at Mobile World Congress that it is expanding the internal analysis bandwidth of its R&S FSW high end signal and spectrum analyser to 1.2 GHz by introducing the new R&S FSW-B1200 option. This test solution enables R&D users to analyse wideband signals in detail. No other instrument is needed as an external digitiser.

MWC2017: Duo collaborate on 5G test solutions

Rohde & Schwarz and MediaTek have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on developing test solutions for 5G. A first joint 5G technology proof-of-concept trial for 28 GHz beam tracking for mobile environments is being showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.

MWC 2017: Keysight, Samsung collaborate on 5G development

Keysight Technologies and Samsung Electronics announced a technology collaboration on 5G development and testing. Keysight and Samsung have entered into a technology collaboration to enable design and deployment of 5G devices to support early operator trials. The initial focus of the partnership is on 5GTF specifications. Future collaboration will include work being done in 3GPP NR.

Partners start work on Phase II of 5G Technology R&D Trial
Keysight Technologies has begun working with Huawei on phase II of the China 5G Technology R&D Trial. Using its UXA N9040B signal analyser and 89601B VSA signal analysis software, Keysight has conducted the first integration tests with Huawei’s 5G prototype base station. The tests cover numerology, frame structure, and new waveform in the 5G new radio (5G NR).
